Maths today by James

We went on a hexagon hunt. We found that the budgie netting is made from lots of hexagons.



We were going to look inside the neighbours bee hive too.




And we looked at the school map again.

    it looks like you were successful with your hexagon hunt. I hadn't thought of netting as an example of tessellation. I thought of a beehive as an example. Well done on using an actual compass to help you with your maths learning today.

    Did you spot any other examples of hexagons in nature?
