 Here is our art inspired by the artist Wassily Kandinsky. 

Samoan Language Week

We have been learning all about Samoan Language Week.
We learnt how to say good morning in Samoan, it is manuia le taeao or Talofa lava.

We got to make a siapo design. Siapo designs are used on tapa cloths, they are easy to make.
The designs are based off nature such as bird footprints, coconut tree leaves, water and birds.
We had to practice learning the different patterns.  Then we chose two patterns to practice for our final one.  We drew our final design onto brown paper, traced it vivd. Finally we dyed it with brown dye.

It was interesting because we were learning about Samoan traditions and culture. We had fun making the siapo.

Olivia's Easter Egg

Olivia enjoyed listening to the Easter Story. She then went in search of a perfect egg shaped rock from our garden. Once found, we realised we did not have any paints! Olivia suggested using her mum's window pens and it worked perfectly.

Erupting volcano by Quinn, and art attack

Hi Miss Hart,

This is our science project we have been working on. The video of the lava is too big to send. We used sand to make the volcano and vinegar, food coloring and baking soda to make the lava.

This is my art. I got one tube and cut it and coloured it in and then put them on my wrists.
