Kia ora and welcome to our blog. We are a wonderful group of Year 3/4 students at a small Catholic School near the beach in Ōtautahi, Christchurch. We have two great teachers called Miss Hart and Miss Esselink. We hope you enjoy reading all about our learning.

Sam’s beach big hunt
We went to the beach this afternoon and hunted for bugs. We found sand hoppers but they were too fast for mum to take photos of. We also found ghost shrimp which were cool and a white worm which lived in the sand.
Thanks
Sam

Hi Sam
ReplyDeleteThe beach is a great place to go hunting for bugs. I can understand why Mum couldn't get a photo of the Sand Hoppers....they are super fast! Did you see any little crabs running on the sand when you were looking for bugs?
Sarah
Kia Ora Sam,
ReplyDeleteit looks like you had a great time hunting for bugs at the beach. I remember when I was at high school I went to the estuary to find all the different species of animal that can be found there, it is really interesting. What are ghost shrimp? I have never heard of them before.
