Room 9 showing teamwork in their math groups today completing their number rocket track to begin our lesson.
Kia ora and welcome to our blog. We are a wonderful group of Year 3/4 students at a small Catholic School near the beach in Ōtautahi, Christchurch. We have two great teachers called Miss Hart and Miss Esselink. We hope you enjoy reading all about our learning.

Kia ora Room 8 & 9,
ReplyDeleteWe liked looking at your blog post and your number rocket track. We have some questions for you.
Did you make a rocket for your track? Why did you make a rocket track? How long was your track? What was the last number? Were you counting by 5's, or 10's, odd numbers or even numbers, or did you just count in 1's?
We think your rocket tracks look really cool, we would like to make some one day.

Hello Room 10,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment. On one of our rockets the last number was 100 and on the other the last was 200. We were counting with a range of numbers. Miss Esselink drew up the tracks and we had to piece them together to start. After that we did lots of basic facts to make our way through the track.
