For writing we have been learning how to write explanations. This week we had our own choice of topics to write about; the water cycle, how seeds grow, the butterfly cycle and tornadoes. The majority of the class chose to write about Tornadoes. We decided to do the tornado in a bottle experiment to see how tornadoes are formed. See below to check out our tornado in a bottle experiment.
Kia ora and welcome to our blog. We are a wonderful group of Year 3/4 students at a small Catholic School near the beach in Ōtautahi, Christchurch. We have two great teachers called Miss Hart and Miss Esselink. We hope you enjoy reading all about our learning.

Kia Ora Room 8 and 9, I am Eliza and I go to Glen Innes School and my class is Room 4. I am 8 and I am a year 3.
ReplyDeleteI also like your tornado because it is really interesting also because I have never ever done that experience before. How did you think about that idea? How did you make the tornado? That was perfect. It looked like you were having a lot of fun. I wish I was you.I also enjoyed the part when you took turns.

Hello Room 8 I’m Viliami and I am from Glen Innes School from room 4.
ReplyDeleteI saw you were creating your tornado in your school.
I was reading this and it said that you were creating a tornado because that was your topic and I was reading it.
I was looking at your pictures and I saw this and it was green and it looked like it was going to explode.
I really like your tornado. In your
photos you look like you are concentrating. Is it hard to make the tornado? I wonder what is inside the tornado?
